A Statement from our Trustees

Alix Popham, one of our original co-founders, released the news yesterday that he has been the first person in the world to undergo an experimental treatment for CTE.  He has reported early signs of improvement in his symptoms.

This treatment has undergone a randomised control trial in Mexico in patients with cerebral palsy, and is awaiting peer-reviewed publication.

The treatment has not yet undergone a trial in patients suffering from CTE.  We are waiting to find out if this treatment could be approved for a trial in the UK by the relevant regulatory bodies.

Head For Change is awaiting published scientific evidence and UK approval, and until this as a charity, it cannot endorse any treatment.  We do however hope to learn more from this.
