Rugby has been a big part of my life, from playing at club level for Nottingham, Liverpool St Helens, and Caldy, to representing England at U16 and U18. I still play socially for Caldy’s 3rd XV, alongside my son.

After retiring from teaching PE, I knew I wanted to stay involved in sport and use it as a force for good. I now coach rugby at Calday Grammar School, work with clients one-on-one and run a free weekly mental health boot camp for men at Caldy RFC. Having faced my own mental health challenges, I understand how important it is to create spaces where men feel safe to talk, train, and support one another. I’m proud to run the first Come Walk With Me hub here in Wirral as part of Head for Change so no one feels like they have to go it alone.
